ZHENGZHOU, China — Yutong Bus, one of the world’s leading electric bus manufacturers, has introduced Link+, its next-generation international Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform designed to transform fleet operations through intelligent management, data-driven insights, and lifecycle optimization.
The platform, an upgrade of Yutong’s earlier Vehicle+ system, integrates AI and big data to provide fleet operators with a secure, intelligent, and efficient one-stop solution. From 24/7 vehicle monitoring to predictive maintenance and energy optimization, Link+ aims to improve safety, reduce costs, and extend fleet lifecycles.
Intelligent Fleet Oversight
Link+ tracks real-time vehicle locations and the status of more than 100 components, enabling operators to detect and address risks proactively. Its one-minute intelligent inspections enhance safety while geo-fencing technology enforces speed limits within designated zones. Operators can remotely manage cabin conditions through automated air conditioning controls and schedule off-peak charging to lower energy costs.
Yutong’s platform also features an AI assistant that diagnoses faults instantly and provides repair guidance. Fleet managers gain access to more than 480,000 genuine OEM parts with transparent online ordering, one-click repair bookings, and direct connections to certified engineers.
Proven Impact in Chile
Chilean operator VOY Santiago SpA, which runs 214 Yutong new energy buses, reported sharp improvements after adopting Link+. By using the platform’s real-time monitoring, the company cut vehicle inspection times from 4–5 days to just 10 minutes.
Energy management also improved significantly. Standardizing air conditioning at 22°C with 50% fan speeds reduced daily electricity usage by 1,848 kWh. At local power rates, VOY now saves roughly 49.3 million Chilean pesos annually during peak cooling seasons, while maintaining passenger comfort and compliance.
Global Compliance and Security
To address rising concerns around cybersecurity, Yutong emphasized that Link+ complies with ISO 27001 and 27701 standards for information security and privacy. Its Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) has received EU certification, and several bus models have passed the R155 VTA certification for information security.
Industry Significance
By embedding AI and big data into fleet operations, Yutong Link+ positions the company as not just a bus manufacturer but also a mobility solutions provider. The platform reflects growing demand for integrated fleet management tools as urban transit systems push toward electrification and digital oversight.
With global adoption in mind, Yutong said Link+ will continue to evolve as fleets seek smarter ways to cut costs and boost performance in competitive and environmentally regulated markets.
