ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) expanded its influence on Tuesday at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional rulers, senior government officials, and youth leaders gathered to address challenges facing the younger generation.
The summit was graced by the Ejeh of Ankpa, representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Key discussions focused on youth empowerment, values, and innovation-driven policies for sustainable development. A panel also addressed how unresolved issues could be escalated to the NCC for effective redress.
UPAM described its participation as a strategic engagement ahead of its official launch, noting that building partnerships through such gatherings would help secure wider support for future programs.
Africa Arise Summit Participation
UPAM representatives also joined the Africa Arise Summit 2025, convened by Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead facilitator of the ARISE initiative. The summit honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes for their impact on communities and showcased the talents of The Lioners Academy, a platform nurturing young leaders.
UPAM’s presence at the summit, according to Comr. Williams John, General Secretary, highlighted the movement’s commitment to partnerships and service-centered leadership.
