The Middle East Venice Film Festival presence stood out at the 82nd edition, held from August 27 to September 6, 2025. Celebrities, actors, and influencers from across the Arab world brought glamour and culture to one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. Armani Beauty, the festival’s official beauty sponsor, hosted a series of dazzling events that highlighted regional talent.

The luxurious Venice Venice Hotel—owned by the founders of Golden Goose—served as a hub for exclusive gatherings and celebrity photo sessions. Spanish actor Miguel Ángel Silvestre posed for the cameras, while Tunisian influencers Marwa Agrebi and Sara Cherif, along with Moroccan influencer Meryem Said, attended a chic Armani cocktail evening. Their appearances showcased the growing influence of Middle Eastern digital voices on global red carpets.

Another highlight was a dinner hosted by Armani at the historic Doge’s Palace overlooking St. Mark’s Square. Among the distinguished guests was Lebanese-Jordanian actress Andria Tayeh, known for her role in Netflix’s Al Rawabi School for Girls. Recently named Middle East ambassador for Armani Beauty and Kérastase, Tayeh has also stepped into presenting with The Voice Kids. She described the role as a thrilling new challenge: “It’s an honor to be able to do this with my MBC family. I’m loving every second of it.”

The star-studded dinner, adorned with lush hydrangea arrangements and elegant white linens, brought together Hollywood icons and fashion elites, including Cate Blanchett, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and supermodel Madisin Rian. Moroccan influencer Meryem Said added a regional sparkle to the evening, embodying the fusion of tradition and modern glamour.

The celebrations concluded with Giorgio Armani’s legendary afterparty at the Arsenale di Venezia. Guests enjoyed an immersive showcase of archived runway footage spanning 1975 to 2005, with a DJ fueling the festivities well into the night.

This year’s Middle East Venice Film Festival representation underscores how Arab stars and influencers are shaping global entertainment spaces. From Andria Tayeh’s breakthrough roles to the growing prominence of digital influencers, the Middle East continues to leave its mark on the international stage.
