An anonymous donor has offered a £100,000 reward for information regarding the disappearance of Jack O’Sullivan, a 22-year-old man who went missing in March 2024 after attending a house party in the Hotwells area of Bristol.
Jack’s mother, Catherine O’Sullivan, expressed her shock at the generosity of the donor: “Once we confirmed it was real, we were overwhelmed. If it helps us find Jack, we will be eternally grateful.”
Jack’s family has also faced threatening messages from strangers, with some people falsely claiming to hold Jack and demanding a ransom. These disturbing messages have made the search even harder for the family.
The police investigation, launched on the day Jack was reported missing, involved over 30 teams. On the night of his disappearance, Jack told his mother that he would take an Uber home after leaving the party. However, a call he made to a friend minutes later went unanswered, and his phone remained active on the Find My Friends app until 6:44 GMT the following morning.
Avon and Somerset Police have now announced plans for a “further review” of their investigation into Jack’s case. A spokesperson said, “We continue to ask the public to come forward with any information about Jack’s disappearance.”
Jack’s mother remains hopeful: “We’re living with hope. I believe we’ll get answers and bring Jack home.”
